Brad Boyd received his Juris Doctorate from University of Minnesota Law School in Minneapolis, MN and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts with honors from Augustana College, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.  At the University of Minnesota Law School, Mr. Boyd demonstrated success as a regional semi-finalist with his moot court partner in the ABA Moot Court regional competition in Boston, MA.

Mr. Boyd's legal career has provided for a broad and diverse base of knowledge and experience, allowing him to provide forward-thinking and strategic advice to his clients in real estate and business matters.

After clerking for the Chief Judge of Juvenile Court, Brad developed his legal advising skills as an attorney in a small boutique law firm focusing on real estate, business and estate planning.  During this time, Brad became a licensed real estate broker, and founded and successfully operated a flat-fee real estate brokerage.  With an expanding base of knowledge and a focused area of practice, Brad opened his own law practice focused on the unique needs of real estate brokerages, small businesses, and clients requiring real estate transactional advising.

Recently, Brad merged his Boyd Law Firm practice into the firm of Thomsen & Nybeck, PA, a firm that offers a collective knowledge, breadth of experience and depth of practice that provides its clients with exceptional quality legal representation, and comprehensive and broad-based service.

Brad's leadership and volunteer spirit have been demonstrated in a variety of ways, including teaching community education courses, and having previously served on the Minnesota Association of Realtors as Chair of the Forms Committee, Chair of the Governmental Affairs Committee, on the Board of Directors and various industry workgroups.

Brad also actively writes newsletters and articles with industry or legal tips for agents, small businesses, and the public, in local and national publications.  Additionally, Brad is a frequent guest lecturer and seminar presenter for various continuing education and other seminars.
