Brad offers strategic and pragmatic legal advice, risk and liability reduction planning, contract analysis and negotiation, and dispute resolution to business clients and individuals alike. Brad Boyd is currently a shareholder and head of the firm's transactional group.

Prior to joining Thomsen Nybeck, Brad obtained hands-on experience in real estate, business, and the law by establishing and successfully operating both a real estate brokerage and law practice. Consequently, he can bring a unique perspective on legal issues, shaped by practical and experiential business insight, to the clients he advises.

Since merging his law practice into Thomsen Nybeck in 2006, he has helped establish the firm's Wind Energy Practice Group, and the Thomsen Nybeck Legal Update blog at TNLegalUpdate.wordpress.com. He received his Juris Doctorate from University of Minnesota Law School in Minneapolis, MN and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts with honors from Augustana College, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Brad has extensive volunteer and Board-level leadership experience, and is frequently quoted and published in local and national publications. Articles or quotes have appeared in the Wall Street Journal's Real Estate Journal, Realtor magazine from the National Association of Realtors, the Star Tribune, and various real estate industry newsletters and resources.

Brad is a regular instructor for continuing education courses to both attorneys and Realtors, and can be a resource for real estate training and education programs for his clients. Brad has taught groups ranging from less than 7 to more than 700, throughout the state of Minnesota.

Many clients and potential clients will benefit from Brad's experience serving as one of the attorneys for the Minnesota Association of Realtors Legal Hotline, and his role as the Association's General Counsel, as well as his extensive work with small businesses and individuals. Although Brad has great depth of experience in real estate brokerage law, his core practice covers a broad range of legal advising needs in: business planning, general business law, and commercial and residential real estate transactions.
